Emergency Polling Place Change

Precinct 028 Wakefield High School will vote at Claremont Elementary School for the June 23, 2020 Republican Primary for US Senate and July 7 Special Election for County Board.

Our Office was notified that the air conditioning is not working at Wakefield High School on June 18, 2020. It is not expected to be repaired until August 2020.

Throughout the pandemic our goal as been to make as few changes as possible for voters. To do this, we’ve strived to keep in person voting open at all 54 polling places. We can only do this while keeping the safety of our Election Officers and voters our first priority. Voting must take place in a well ventilated space. This is not possible with the current conditions at Wakefield High School.

All voters were mailed notification on June 19, 2020. Signs will be placed outside of Wakefield High School on Election Day notifying voters of the change.
