Proposed Constitutional Amendment

Question: Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia's standard redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?

Important Dates

• Early In-Person Voting: March 6, 2026 through April 18, 2026
• Last day to apply for a mail ballot: 5pm, April 10, 2026
• Last day to register to vote or update existing registration: April 14, 2026
• Same Day Registration begins: April 15, 2026
• Election Day: Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (polls open 6am-7pm)
• Mail Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before April 21, 2026 and received by 12pm, April 24, 2026
• Last day to drop off a Mail Ballot in a Drop Box: 7pm, April 21, 2026.

• Arlington voters can vote at any early voting location in Arlington.
• First day of Early Voting: Friday, March 6, 2026

• On Election Day, all Arlington polling places are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Vote By Mail

• All voters are eligible to vote a Mail Ballot. Voters must request a Mail Ballot. 
• Voters can request a Mail Ballot until 5 pm, April 10, 2026.
• Mail Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before April 21 and received by 12pm, April 24.
